60_DMCC_Service_Updates_-_February_2018 DMCC Service Updates - February 2018

We are pleased to share with you our service updates that aim to improve and facilitate our range of services for our members.

Recently Enhanced and Automated Services

Implementing Ejari in DMCC Licensing Services:

Please be advised that effective 1st March 2018, Ejari Certificate will become a mandatory requirement for the licensing services for the majority of the member companies based on their lease type. Those DMCC members need to submit the Ejari Certificate when applying for any of the following services: license renewal, license amendments & additional license as Ejari Certificate will become a mandatory requirement to replace the currently requested lease documents such as tenancy contract, Title deed…etc.

All DMCC members must provide their Ejari Certificate details except members with the following types of leases:

  • Flexi Desk
  • DMCC Business Centre
  • Non-DMCC Business Centres
  • Common areas, plots, shared units (for companies with common shareholders), and Dubai Tea Trading Centre

With this change, members will enter the Ejari certificate number when applying for license renewal and upload the Ejari certificate when amending their license or applying for additional license.

Emirates ID Typing OTP Confirmation:

Following the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship recent implementation of identity verification method at the typing stage of the Emirates ID application through sending One Time Password (OTP) as SMS to the applicant’s cell phone to proceed with the typing, please note that a DMCC representative will call those applicants to get their OTP in order to proceed with their Emirates ID applications typing on time; noting that the validity of the received OTP is 10 minutes.

Please note that the Emirates ID typing occurs in the following services:

  • Employee Residence Permit (Visa) Service Request
  • Transfer an Employee to DMCC From Others Service Request
  • Employee Visa Renewal

New Requirement for the Family Hold Service:

Please be advised that the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs-Dubai (GDRFA) is now requesting applicants to provide a valid Ejari Certificate along with the standard documents in order to proceed.

In this respect, if a member company wishes to apply for visa cancellation for an employee inside the country, who wishes to put his dependents on hold, the employee can apply for the ‘Family Hold’ service by submitting the offer letter from the new employer / labour pre-approval contract and the employee’s Ejari Certificate at the DMCC counter along with the cancellation documents.

Introducing New Fields for the Certificate of Good Conduct Requirement:

Following the UAE Government decision to mandate the Certificate of Good Conduct as a key requirement for applicants coming into the country for the purpose of work starting 18 February 2018, DMCC has embedded new fields in the service requests for Employee Residence Permit (Visa) and Transfer an Employee to DMCC from Others to enable members to upload those new mandatory documents.
