DMCC, the world’s flagship Free Zone and Government of Dubai Authority on commodities trade and enterprise, announced today that it had successfully claimed a new Guinness World Records title for the world’s largest jigsaw puzzle by surface area. Watch the video here.
In celebration of the Year of Zayed, the wooden jigsaw of over 12,000 pieces features the official logo of the national initiative and spans an area of over 6,000 m² within DMCC’s much-anticipated Uptown Dubai district.

DMCC, the world’s flagship Free Zone and Dubai Government Authority on commodities trade and enterprise, is entering new markets and has welcomed the Islamic Bank of Afghanistan as the newest member of its DMCC Tradeflow platform, a dedicated online platform for registering possession and ownership of commodities stored in UAE-based storage facilities. The announcement follows the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) by Sanjeev Dutta, Executive Director, Commodities at DMCC and Amer Khalil ur Rehman, Chief Executive Officer of the Islamic Bank of Afghanistan, at DMCC’s Almas Tower in Dubai.

In support of the Year of Zayed and Zayed Humanitarian Day on Ramadan 19, DMCC’s Executive Chairman, Ahmed Bin Sulayem, made a personal donation of AED 500,000 to Dubai Cares, a UAE-based global philanthropic organisation working to improve children and young people's access to quality education in developing countries. Mr. Bin Sulayem’s donation supports Dubai Cares’ Post-Earthquake Recovery Efforts for Education in Nepal.
